Louisville Spray Foam Insulation Company in Kentucky is a well-established insulation company. We met with them to go over blower door testing and looking at their Krendl machine which was having some issues. We provide training and support to everyone. It doesn’t matter if you own a Cool Machine. It doesn’t matter how much experience you have. We can come and provide additional, specialized training and support.
Recently, they installed Timber HP insulation into a home. We were asked to inspect the job because the homeowner wasn’t achieving the lower use of electricity they were expecting to heat their home. We worked with their blower door technician and found that there was still substantial leaking in the house. Here is what we found.
A chimney was not insulated properly. TimberHP was blown up against the chimney. After removing the insulation away from the chimney, they used fire-proofing foam and mineral wool to wrap the chimney to stop the air leakage around the chimney. This home was built in the 1970s and had many can lights. So, they will be sealing up the can lights as there was quite a bit of air movement when the house was under pressure with the blower door.
This company also owns an older Krendl machine. The chain had stretched, causing it to jump the sprocket. We fixed the chain and now the machine runs smoothly.
Thank you, Louisville Insulation for your business and we look forward to helping you again, in the future!
