Leave it to Cool Machines to once-again… provide an innovative solution to the insulation machine industry! In March of 2022, Cool Machines introduced the new Hopper Extension Vacuum Hood. Simply, this is an accessory that allows a standard insulation vacuum recycle wall spray back into a CM2400. No moving parts, just a box that properly allows material to be sprayed into the hopper.
Lance Campbell with Insulation Plus in Port Huron, Michigan called us to get guidance on using their current CM2400 in the wall spray processes. We discussed the difficulty of manually recovering the cellulose recycle via the “barrel method.” Insulation Plus already had the CM2400 and a vacuum. He helped them with the purchase of this new unit.
In May, we visited Lance and his crew. They have an impressive facility with a skilled crew. After an hour of setup and training, we were spraying wall spray cellulose with low moisture content. The hopper extension made the recycling chore a breeze! Within three hours, this crew was trained and ready to spray!
