In 2023, we proudly launched the VacTrailer—an all-in-one trailer designed to streamline how insulation professionals handle vacuum setups and waste disposal. Our mission is clear: help insulators work faster, safer, and more organized during insulation removal projects.

A Real-World Upgrade: Customizing the VacTrailer

Recently, my daughter equipped her own VacTrailer for her business, adding a two-way cargo slide and a flexible Milwaukee Packout organization system. Here’s how these upgrades have elevated on-the-job efficiency and made tool management a breeze:

MORyde Cargo Slide Tray

  • Easy Access: The MORyde cargo slide delivers quick, hassle-free access to tools and supplies. No more awkward leaning into the trailer—just pull out what you need.
  • High Capacity: With a 500-pound rating and 80% extension, it can handle even the heaviest toolkits.
  • Two-Way Sliding: Dual-slide operation means you can get to your equipment from either side of the trailer—a big win for convenience.

Milwaukee Packout System

  • Packout Mounting Plate: Securely bolted to the bottom of the cargo slide with T-nuts and ½” bolts, these plates provide a stable foundation. The packouts stay put, even over bumpy terrain.
  • Crate/Bin: Think of these as rugged “milk crates” for the job site. They keep small items—like hose clamps, masks, and hand tools—organized and within reach.
  • Totes: Each worker is assigned a tote loaded with essentials: an impact drill with 5/16″ driver nuts, utility knife, duct tape, headlamp, gloves, etc. By prepping bags for specific tasks (even if tools overlap), you create clear roles and seamless workflows.

Organization Matters: Choose What Works for You

While we prefer Milwaukee’s system, there’s nothing proprietary about getting organized. DeWalt, Craftsman, Ryobi, and other brands all offer smart organizers. The real key is to pick a system you’ll use—because an orderly trailer means a safer and more effective jobsite.

Takeaway:
Whether you’re running a small crew or managing large projects, investing in practical upgrades like a cargo slide and modular storage delivers huge dividends in time saved, accidents prevented, and clutter avoided. A well-organized trailer isn’t just a matter of convenience—it’s a cornerstone of every professional operation.
