If you’ve ever interacted with Insulation Machines online, seen one of our social media posts, or met us while we were training a crew — chances are, you’ve already had a glimpse of SuzAnne Pendley. But there’s a lot more to the story of the woman behind the marketing, customer support, and day-to-day heart of our business.
SuzAnne grew up on her family’s dairy farm in Central Wisconsin, where she learned the value of hard work and responsibility early in life. From helping with chores to milking cows, she gained a strong work ethic and appreciation for dedication — qualities that still guide everything she does today.
All through high school and college, SuzAnne worked as a waitress. While in college, she met Barry Pendley, who would later become both her husband and business partner. After college, she worked in the office at Clarkston Insulation, the company founded and owned by Barry’s father. That’s where her connection to the insulation industry began.
Throughout much of her married life, SuzAnne followed her passion for music, teaching piano and early childhood music.Later, she worked as a Marine Science Educator and Events Coordinator for Marine Science Adventures in Gulf Shores, Alabama. She also worked alongside Barry during his years in ministry, supporting community outreach and helping others through education, encouragement, and service.
Her ability to teach, connect, and communicate clearly with others became her hallmark — skills that now play a big role in how Insulation Machines reaches and supports customers.
In 2021, SuzAnne stepped out from behind the scenes to become more than a silent partner at Insulation Machines. She now manages social media marketing, market research, and crew training, often traveling with Barry to train insulation crews across the U.S. and Canada.
SuzAnne and Barry have three daughters and are the proud grandparents of three grandsons, who are the joy of their lives. When she’s not helping customers grow their businesses or sharing updates online, you’ll likely find her volunteering at a local National Wildlife Refuge, where she guides walks focused on native plants and local ecology.
For SuzAnne, every part of her journey — from the dairy farm to the classroom to the insulation field — has been rooted in one thing: helping others succeed.
