We just got home after being at the Cool Machines factory for the 2026 Wall Spray Training Seminar. In addition to classroom instruction, there was time for hands-on with training with wall spray equipment by Cool Machines, working through real applications, and having the kinds of conversations that help contractors improve production on the job.

We don’t attend these trainings just to be there. We stay involved so we can bring real-world knowledge back to the contractors we serve every day.

Real Training Starts with Real Application

One of the biggest takeaways from this week is that wall spray is all about control—control of material, moisture, and application technique.

When done correctly, wall spray delivers consistent coverage, strong adhesion, and efficient production. But getting there requires more than just turning on a machine. It takes an understanding of how to properly condition material, how to manage water flow, and how to adjust your setup based on the job in front of you.

The same goes for dense pack. Technique matters. Equipment setup matters. And small adjustments can make a big difference in both production speed and final results.

That’s why hands-on training is so important. Watching someone explain it is one thing—actually doing it with the right equipment is where it clicks.

Equipment Matters More Than Most Realize

Throughout the training, it was clear that the equipment you run plays a major role in your success.

From insulation blowers designed for consistent material feed to systems built for wall spray applications, the right setup allows contractors to work efficiently while maintaining quality. Equipment that is reliable, easy to maintain, and built for real jobsite conditions helps crews stay productive and avoid unnecessary downtime.

We also introduced the VacTrailer™ Duo during the seminar, showing how contractors can streamline both removal and installation with a single setup. Efficiency on the job isn’t just about speed—it’s about reducing steps, minimizing handling, and keeping your crew focused on the work that matters.

And just as important, the equipment from Cool Machines is designed for easy maintenance and service—whether you’re in your shop or out in the field—with accessible components and repairs that can be handled using standard tools.

Learning from the Source

There’s real value in being at the factory, working alongside the people who design and build the equipment.

Training sessions led by experienced professionals provide insight that goes beyond manuals and videos. You’re able to ask questions, see how others approach the same challenges, and better understand how to get the most out of your equipment.

That kind of access matters.

It allows us to stay current, refine our own knowledge, and make sure that when a contractor calls us with a question, we’re not guessing—we’re answering based on real, recent experience.

Contractor-to-Contractor Conversations

Some of the most valuable moments didn’t happen during formal sessions—they happened on the floor.

Talking with contractors from across the country, sharing what’s working, discussing challenges, and comparing setups is where a lot of real learning takes place. These conversations often lead to small adjustments that make a big difference in the field.

This industry has always been built on relationships, and that was on full display throughout the week.

More Than Equipment—It’s the Business Side Too

In addition to technical training, we had the opportunity to teach sessions focused on marketing and running an insulation business.

Because success in this industry isn’t just about knowing how to install insulation—it’s about knowing how to build and grow a business.

From generating leads to building a strong reputation in your market, contractors need more than technical skill. They need a plan. Being able to share that side of the business is something we take seriously, because it directly impacts long-term success.
