Setting Up the Vacuum and Accessories
BEFORE the crew of 911 Restoration went out on site, they put together all of the accessories and hoses. This is very important. They were not missing any adapter or hose. They had everything they needed. If something was missing or the wrong size, it is far easier to deal with it before going out on site.
Hoses
Assembling the hoses takes the longest amount of time. We recommend that most of the hoses be connected and remain connected. For the hoses that will remain connected, use Gorilla Tape. For the hoses that you may need to disconnect from each other (for example transitions to smaller hoses), use cheap duct tape that is easy to remove.
Output Safety Deflector
The output safety deflector is connected to the output with 3/8” bolts (included). This needs to be installed and can be left in place.
Diverter
When receiving the hose to connect to the diverter, the hose needs to be cut to size. We have produced a video showing how this is best done.
Tools you should have:
• Couple of drills with 5/16” bits
• Lineman cutting pliers
• Box cutter knife
• Gorilla duct tape
• Standard duct tape
• 9/16” socket and 9/16” wrench
We are thankful for meeting Richard and his crew. They were able to put everything together, quickly. We had plenty of time to talk about safety and efficiency.
